Drug name
Motrin (Ibuprofen)
Drug Uses
Motrin is a nonsteroid anti-inflammatory preparation. Motrin renders anti-inflammatory, analgesic and febrifugal actions. The mechanism of action is possibly connected with the synthesis inhibition of prostaglandin. The preparation inhibits the mobility of the leukocytes and phagocytes. Apparently, Motrin influences the immune processes by breaking the recognition of specific signals through lymphocyte receptors and thymocyte. The anti-inflammatory effect sets in at the end of the first week of treatment. The preparation considerably (up to the disappearance) reduces the pain syndrome, that is, pain in joints, at rest and at movements. It increases the volume of movements and reduces the morning constraint and arthrocele.
How Taken
Do not exceed 3200 mg total daily dose. If you experience gastrointestinal toxicity, take Motrin Tablets with meals or milk. Dose of motrin is select individually, depending on the intensity of symptomatology at the moment of the beginning of treatment and on the efficiency of the preparation. It is necessary to apply the least effective dose. The doctor defines the dosage regimen and duration of treatment.

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
