Drug Uses
Clomid is intended to treat such conditions as female infertility as well as several others determined by your doctor.
How Taken
Follow your doctor directions throughout therapy period. Read the dosage information on the container.
- The drug should be taken orally before the meal as well as during or after it.
- Sexual contacts are required to reach the maximum effect. Ovulation commonly starts after 5-10 days of the Clomid therapy.
Missed Dose
In case you have missed to take the medicine do it at the moment you have remembered but skip it in case it is the time of your next dosage and follow your usual schedule. You shouldn’t use double dose simultaneously.
Storage
Keep the medicine at the temperature of 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a cool, dry and dark place beyond the reach of children and pets. The medicine can be kept at the temperature of 59 - 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) for a short period of time. Avoid keeping the drug in the bathroom.
Warnings Precautions
The drug is prohibited in case:
- you have an allergic reaction to any its component,
- you are in pregnancy period,
- you experience painful vaginal bleeding,
- you experience ovarian cyst or enlargements caused by another reasons than polycystic ovary,
- you experience or experienced any blockage of blood vessels in any part of your body,
- you experience any liver problems, uncontrolled thyroid or adrenal gland problems, or a brain lesion (e.g., pituitary gland tumor) .
Contact you doctor as soon as possible in case you have any of these conditions.
Note:
- Do not operate any machinery until you are aware of your body reaction to this drug;
- You can experience enlargement of ovaries after Clomid therapy. Contact your doctor in case you have any stomach or pelvic pain, weight gain, pain, or stomach enlargement or discomfort throughout Clomid therapy period.
- You may have multiple pregnancy in case you are treating with Clomid. Discuss the risks of such pregnancies with you doctor.
- Several lab tests may be required throughout the therapy period to monitor your condition. Follow you doctor and lab appointments.
- Take the medicine with caution in case you are in ages. As patients in ages ay be more sensitive to the drug effects.
- The medicine is prohibited throughout pregnancy and breast-feeding period. Contact your doctor as soon as possible in case think you are pregnant. Don’t breast-feed throughout therapy period.
Possible Side Effects
Contact your doctor in case you have following side effects for a long period of time:
- blurred vision or vision problems (spots or flashes); breast tenderness; dizziness; enlarged breasts; enlargement of the ovaries; flushing; headache; hot flashes; lightheadedness; mood change; nausea; pelvic pain or bloating; stomach pain; vomiting.
Contact your doctor at once in case you experience:
- severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue)increased risk of cancer of the ovaries; over stimulation of the ovaries; spontaneous abortion.

The medicine should be used only by patients with corresponding prescriptions. Do not give the drug to anybody.
