Drug Uses

Casodex in intended only for men and used when treating prostate cancer. This medicine can interact with other drugs. So, in this case the dosage of another drug is to be changed accordingly.

How Taken

This medicine is to be taken as one 50mg tablet daily at the same time. It is permitted to take Casodex while meal as well as before or after it. You should not stop treating without consulting your doctor.

Missed Dose

In case you have missed to take the medicine do it at the moment you have remembered but skip it in case it is the time of your next dosage and follow your usual schedule. You shouldn’t use double dose simultaneously.

Storage

It is recommended to keep the medicine at room temperature.

Warnings Precautions

Don’t use this drug in case you have an allergic reaction to it or any of its components. The effect of the medicine can show up only after several weeks of using the Casodex. Do not cease taking the drug without your doctor’s consent. Do not increase the dosage volume or therapy period without consulting to your doctor or health-care provider. Your doctor can prescribe you several lab or medical tests to check for the side effects and other reactions of your organism to the medicine. Don’t avoid your doctor’s prescriptions. Contact your doctor before starting the therapy.

Possible Side Effects

Taking Casodex can cause such side effects as facial flushing hot flashes. Avoid drinking alcohol during the treating as it may amplify possible side effects. Taking the medicine can also lead to diarrhea, constipation and overall pain, including pain in the back, hips and stomach. And finally it can cause breast enlargement and breast pain.

Do not give this drug to the patients that have no directions to use it. The medicine should be taken only as prescribed. Store the medicine beyond the reach of children. Don’t forget to refresh your drug reserve before you use it.
