Drug Uses

This medicine is intended to provide control over high blood pressure and non-malignant prostatic hyperplasia.

How Taken

Follow your doctor prescriptions for taking the medicine. It is permitted to take the drug during the meal as well as before or after it. It is recommended to take the medicine according to your dosage schedule at the same time each day of the therapy period for the purpose of maintaining the same blood pressure. In case you are taking any antacid wait for two hours before taking the Cardura. In case you ceased taking the drugs it is recommended to decrease the dose.

Missed Dose

In case you have missed to take the medicine do it at the moment you have remembered. In case you take Cardura only once a day and remember about the missed dose only the next day skip it and follow you regular dosage plan. You shouldn’t use double dose simultaneously.

Storage

It is recommended to keep the medicine at 30 degrees C (86 F).

Warnings Precautions

Don’t use Cardura in case you have an allergic reaction to it or any of its components. Let your doctor or dentist know beforehand about taking this medicine before receive any treatment or surgery. Taking the Cardura can lead to drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. It is recommended to take the medicine first time before going to sleep. In case you wake up in the night move slowly to sit and stand up from the bed. It is not recommended to operate any mechanism before you become aware of your organism reaction to this medicine. Taking other medicines or alcohol throughout the therapy period may decrease your ability to drive and execute any other tasks related to any mechanism operation. Such factors as alcohol, hot weather, training and fever may increase such side effects of taking the medicine as dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting. To avoid these effects do not make any quick movements. It is also recommended to sit or lay down in case you experience those side effects. Consult your doctor about taking the medicine throughout the pregnancy period. You should also consult the doctor concerning using the medicine during the period of breast-feeding as the consequences of such drug usage are not studied yet.

Possible Side Effects

The most common side effects the patients may experience are: dizziness, headache, nausea, drowsiness, lack of energy, dry mouth, or nasal congestion. Consult you doctor in case those effects remain for a long period of time. You should contact you doctor immediately in case you have pounding heartbeat, puffiness in hands or feet, blurred vision, bloody urine, or if you are unable to control your urination. Moreover in case you have difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face or lips or in case you develop a rash or hives search for a medical aid immediately. It is recommended to contact you doctor in case you have other side effects not listed here.

Do not give this drug to the patients that have no directions to use it. The medicine should be taken only as prescribed. Store the medicine beyond the reach of children. Don’t forget to refresh your drug reserve before you use it.
