Drug Uses

Calcium Carbonate is intended when treating such conditions as osteoporosis, kidney stones and menstrual spasms. The medicine may also be prescribed to contribute to the growth of the bone mass as well as stomach acidity remedy.

How Taken

Missed Dose

Storage

Keep the medicine at the temperature of 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a cool, dry and dark place. It is allowed to keep the medicine between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Keep the medicine in the place beyond the reach of children and pets. Avoid keeping the medication in the bathroom.

Warnings Precautions

Avoid taking the drug in case you have allergic reaction to any its component.

Let your doctor know beforehand in case you are pregnant or at the breast-feeding period or you have allergic reaction to shellfish or you experience any kidney trouble (stones, diseases).

Your dosage is dependable on your general condition. Let your doctor know about any stomach or digestion troubles (such as persisting diarrhea, not absorbing nutrients properly, or not having enough acid in your stomach).

Several blood tests may be required in case you are treating with the medicine for a long period of time.

Possible Side Effects

Contact your doctor in case any of the following side effect:
- mild constipation, gas.

Contact your doctor at once in case you have: breathing problems or tightness in your throat or chest; chest pain; skin hives, rash, or itchy or swollen skin.
