Drug Uses

Buspar is intended to treat the anxiety. The medicine is effective for those experiencing limited or moderated degree of anxiety and not so effective for patients suffering from severe anxiety, panic disorders, or obsessive-compulsive disorders.

How Taken

It is recommended to take the medicine during the meal in case you have stomach upsets. Follow your doctor prescriptions when taking the medicine. The full effect of the medicine will appear after 3-4 weeks of the therapy.

Missed Dose

In case you have missed to take the medicine do it at the moment you have remembered but skip it in case it is the time of your next dosage and follow your usual schedule. You shouldn’t use double dose simultaneously. Contact your doctor to arrange new schedule in case you have missed more than one dose.

Storage

Keep the medicine at the room temperature in a dry and dark place. Avoid keeping the medicine in the bathroom.

Warnings Precautions

Tell your doctor about diseases and allergic reactions you had or have at the moment, especially such as kidney or liver disease. Taking the medicine can cause dizziness, drowsiness. Avoid drinking alcohol throughout the therapy as it can increase those side effects. Take the medicine with caution in case you operate any machinery. Contact your doctor before taking the medicine throughout pregnancy and breast feeding periods.

Possible Side Effects

Taking the medicine can lead to drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, weakness, vivid dreams, sleeplessness, dry skin, blurred vision, altered sense of taste and smell, weight gain, muscle aches, ringing in the ears, nausea, headaches. Contact your doctor in case any of above mentioned side effects lasts for a long period of time. Tell your doctor in case you have such side effects as: abnormal movements or "twitches" of the face or neck muscles, other involuntary movements or tremors, depression, confusion, incoordination, chest pain, breathing difficulties. Contact you doctor in case you have any other side effect not mentioned here.
